Creating an account

Basdaq accounts can be created in two ways. Each Basdaq account is its own address which will be used to execute your trades. Accounts can be generated by connecting an existing wallet or using an email and password sign-in. Both methods are done through Privy.

The first step is to click 'Connect Wallet' in the top right of the screen and choose a wallet to connect or input an email address.

In this example we will choose Rabby Wallet, the current wallet of choice for many. Those familiar with Web3 will know that wallets rise and fall in reputation. Any wallets present as extensions on your browser recognized by Privy will be presented as potential options. The most popular wallets are offered either on the main page or in the Other Wallets section.

Select a wallet which combines both ease of access and longevity. You will likely not want to use a cold wallet to access the Basdaq nor is a new unproven wallet ideal. The ideal wallet for using an application like the Basdaq is a browser extension wallet from a company with a strong reputation.

This information is presented so you may secure your Basdaq account properly. The actual act of trading is done using your Basdaq account to create a far smoother user experience.

If you have used a wallet to create your Basdaq account you will be asked to sign a transaction. Be sure to check for pop-up windows.

If you have used an email to create your Basdaq account you will be asked to input a verification code. These codes are valid for only ten minutes.

Once you have either signed the transaction or input the correct verification code, you will be presented with the final step pictured below.

Please review the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy. Now your account is created, you will see an address appear in the top right of your screen. This is the address of your Basdaq account.
